Sustainable Development Goals
Austria and the UN have agreed on 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the 2030 Agenda – and we put them into practice in our business.
Sustainable
Development Goals

The United Nations (UN) and, among others, Austria have agreed on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the 2030 Agenda. The 2030 Agenda provides an international framework within which sustainable development is to be taken into account. As a business, we have also given thought to these 17 goals.
Additional information
about our commitment to sustainability
What does “certified Common Good business” mean and how is it monitored?
The Economy for the Common Good assesses companies not only on their economic success but on their contribution to the common good – from fair pay and environmental protection to social engagement. We achieved 470 points straight away and have produced a detailed Common Good Balance Sheet.
Which organisations do we support regularly?
For many years, we have supported a child in an SOS Children’s Village in Africa through sponsorship. Each year, we donate to “Austrian Doctors”, who carry out healthcare work in Asia. In current crises – such as the earthquakes in Turkey and Morocco in 2023 – we provide additional emergency aid.
Why do we do without air conditioning and minibars?
By deliberately doing without air conditioning and minibars in all our rooms, we save enormous amounts of electricity every year. Our optimally insulated buildings and well-thought-out construction keep temperatures pleasant even without air conditioning – naturally, healthily and energy-efficiently.
Is your organic food certified?
Yes! All the food in our hotel is certified organic and, as far as possible, sourced regionally and seasonally. We are an official Fair Trade hospitality partner and are regularly inspected by Austria Bio Garantie.
