A true delight for all breakfast lovers, gourmets and organic enthusiasts, for guests with lactose or gluten intolerance, for those who like to linger and for those who want to start the day well fuelled! The promise we make our guests about organic food is also regularly checked by an independent inspection body – Austria Bio Garantie. So even first thing in the morning, we serve only the finest, 100% organic food!
You can enjoy all this wonderful food in our breakfast room and on our sun terrace from 7 to 10.30 am.

Vegan, gluten-free and lactose-free
If you follow a vegan, gluten-free or lactose-free diet, staying at the organic Grünes Hotel zur Post means you don’t have to change your habits just because you’re travelling.
We always have something delicious in for guests with intolerances, but we’d be grateful if you could let us know in advance. Many of the products we offer are vegan or can easily be replaced with vegan alternatives. Vegan Welcome.

Organic gourmet breakfast
With wonderful baked goods, dark and wholemeal breads, cakes and croissants, jams, hazelnut spread, peanut butter and honey, some from our own hives. Egg dishes, a cheese platter, cold meats, ham and bacon, vegetables, fruit, spreads, cow’s milk and all sorts of alternatives. Cereals, dried fruit, nuts and warm porridge. Vegan Welcome.

The finest leg ham and honey-crusted ham, cold meats, and belly and loin bacon from Metzgerei Santner in Thalgau.
Homemade quark spreads in a changing range of flavours, as well as vegan delicacies and organic butter.
Jams from Trausners Genusswerkstatt (and homemade ones), creamy hazelnut spread and honeycomb from the organic Hinterhauser apiary in Michaelbeuern and from our own beekeeper, Georg Maier.
Mr Werner from Oberalm supplies us with top-quality beans and ground coffee, which we turn into mild filter coffee, espresso, Melange, cappuccino or caffè latte.
Enjoy our wonderful range of Sonnentor teas with lemon or milk.
We make our egg dishes with fresh eggs from the truly happy hens of the Hillerzeder family in Anthering.
The Mattigtaler Hofkäserei, the Eisl family from the Wolfgangsee and the Salzburger Land dairy supply us with the finest cheese.
Kaiser rolls, all kinds of baked goods made with wheat or wholemeal flour and delicious breads come from Bäckerei Pföss in Elsbethen.
A selection of mueslis from the Lerchenmühle in Golling, cornflakes, nuts and dried fruit. Freshly prepared every day and rounded off with natural yoghurt, homemade berry yoghurt, or cow’s, soya or rice milk.
We treat those with a sweet tooth to homemade cakes, croissants, pastries and milk bread.
The finest fruit juices from Hasenfit and Schreiber, and water infused with a variety of flavours and seasonal fruit.
Hot and cold chocolate are made with real cocoa powder.
